take off with professional coaching
ABOUT
COACHING
Coaching is a process of working with people that allows for directed learning and development, where responsibility for outcomes and decisions made rests with the individual being coached. It focuses on the 'here and now' and is aimed at identifying goals and developing strategies to achieving these.
Coaching enhances, supports and facilitates an individual stepping in and being actively engaged in their own growth, development and change. Rather than being a subject matter expert, a coach is a facilitator, focused on helping the individual to unlock their own potential.
It's important to understand that coaching is not therapy. Coaches do not work on "issues" or dig into the past. Coaching looks at where the client is today and is focused on helping them to remove any obstacles, move forward, set personal and professional goals and take action to create the life and future they desire.
Different types of coaching target different needs, but a common approach across all forms of coaching is that the coach asks questions instead of providing answers or solutions, supports the client and facilitates their development instead of advising on what they should do.
The core values of curiosity, cultivation and collaboration drive the coach/client relationship.
